ASIC Miner Recycling and Disposal

ASIC miners are industrial electronics containing recoverable metals alongside components that must not go to landfill. UK WEEE regulations govern how electrical equipment is disposed of, and our products comply with WEEE and RoHS directives. Responsible recycling recovers valuable materials, keeps hazardous components out of the environment, and closes the loop on hardware that has finished its working life.

A typical SHA-256 miner passes through the lifecycle phases described across our product pages, from peak performance through to end of life at around 8 or more years. Machines that no longer cover their electricity at normal rates can still have value in low cost energy settings, heat reuse projects or as parts donors before recycling becomes the right answer. If you are unsure which stage your fleet is at, ask us before scrapping anything.

• Any brand, any condition: we accept ASIC miners at end of life whether or not they were bought from us, including non working and damaged units.
• Collection or delivery: we can arrange collection, or you can ship to our Hartlepool facility, or drop off by appointment.
• Environmentally compliant processing: units are processed in line with UK electronic waste regulations, with reusable components recovered where possible.
• Fleet clearances: for farm decommissions and larger clearances we quote the logistics as one project.

• Remove or reset pool credentials, wallet addresses and any stored configuration; treat a retiring miner like any other business device leaving your control.
• Tell us the models, quantities and condition so we can quote accurately and route units to reuse where they still have life.
• Consider a repair assessment first: a unit that looks dead is sometimes one hash board or power supply away from a second life, and repair can be worth more than scrap value.

Do you only recycle miners bought from you?

No. We accept end of life ASIC miners of any brand, wherever they were bought.

Is recycling free?

It depends on quantity, location and condition, so we quote case by case. Where recovered materials offset the processing cost, your quote reflects that.

Could my old miner still be worth something?

Possibly. Machines uneconomic at normal power rates can still suit low cost energy or heat reuse settings, and faulty units can hold parts value. We will tell you honestly whether repair, resale routes or recycling makes most sense.

What should I wipe before sending a unit?

Pool and wallet configuration and any network credentials. Resetting to factory defaults covers it on most models, and we can talk you through it.
