Table Guide

How to Read the Profitability Table

Four short steps from raw earnings to your own profit numbers.
1

Set Your Energy Cost

Earnings open at zero electricity cost so machines compare fairly. Enter your pence per kWh and every row recalculates to profit at your rate.
2

Pick a Timeframe

Day shows the current run rate, while week, month and year multiply it out. Longer windows assume today's conditions hold, so treat them as planning aids.
3

Filter to Your Setup

Cut the list by brand, algorithm, cooling method and stock status so the machines left are ones you could actually buy and run.
4

Check Breakeven and ROI

Before you shortlist anything, check that the breakeven power price clears your rate and the estimated payback time fits your plans.

How the Most Profitable Rankings Work

What the earnings figures mean, what moves them and how to buy on profit sensibly.
Every machine we list is scored against live market data all day long. The sections below explain how the profitability ranking is built, the forces that push earnings up and down, and how to use profit figures without being caught out by them.

How Profitability Is Measured

Live Earnings Data

Estimated revenue for each machine is recalculated from coin prices, network difficulty and hash price throughout the day.

Earnings Before Power

The default view models earnings at zero electricity cost. That keeps the comparison fair, because power prices differ wildly between buyers.

Profit at Your Rate

Enter your own pence per kWh and the table converts revenue into profit, showing which machines survive your electricity price.

What Moves the Profit Ranking

Coin Prices

Most machines earn in the coin they mine, so a rally or a slump moves every figure on this page within minutes.

Network Difficulty

As more hashrate joins a network, each machine's share shrinks. Difficulty climbs are the quiet force that erodes earnings over time.

New Hardware

Each new generation raises the earnings bar and pushes older machines down the ranking, sometimes overnight.

Electricity Prices

Profit is earnings minus power. A penny per kWh either way reorders the top of this list for most buyers.

Hardware Prices

Falling machine prices do not change earnings, but they change how much profit your money buys.

Which Ranking Page Should You Use

Highest Earning

Ranks raw earning power before electricity. Best for seeing pure output.

Highest Efficiency

Puts watts per hash first. Best when your power price is the problem.

Quickest ROI

Sorts by estimated payback time so your outlay comes back sooner.

Best Value

Ranks delivered price against performance for the most machine per pound.

1

How Mining Profit Works

Where the earnings figures come from, what they include and why they never sit still.

It changes, often daily. Coin prices, network difficulty and new hardware releases constantly reshuffle the order, which is why this page ranks machines from live data instead of naming one model in writing.

The table above always shows the current leader. Whichever machine sits first on the earnings view is the answer right now.

Each machine's hashrate is measured against the current reward and difficulty of the network it mines, then converted to pounds at today's prices. That gives an estimated revenue per day, which the table can extend to weeks, months or years.

Profit is that revenue minus your electricity. Enter your rate and the table does the subtraction for every machine at once.

By default, no. The list opens at zero electricity cost so machines can be compared fairly regardless of who is buying.

Set your pence per kWh in the energy cost field and every figure converts to profit at your rate. Hosting customers can pick a hosting site instead and its rate is applied for them.

Because every input is live. Coin prices move around the clock, network difficulty adjusts as hashrate joins or leaves, and hash price shifts with both.

A machine can earn ten percent more or less within a week without anything changing in your setup. Build that swing into your planning rather than being surprised by it.

Yes. If coin prices fall or difficulty climbs faster than expected, earnings can drop below your electricity spend, especially on older or less efficient machines.

Your defence is efficient hardware and knowing each machine's breakeven power price before you commit. Machines with headroom above your rate survive the rough patches.

2

Reading the Numbers

Practical answers about energy rates, timeframes, variants and how far to trust the estimates.

Use the unit rate from a recent bill, not a guess or a tariff headline. UK domestic rates are typically well above 20p per kWh, while hosted machines can run from around 4p per kWh.

If you are unsure, test the table at two or three rates. Watching the ranking reorder tells you quickly how sensitive each machine is to power costs.

Monthly is the most practical window, because it lines up with electricity billing and lets you sanity check the numbers against real statements.

Yearly figures are useful for planning but lean hardest on the assumption that today's conditions hold. Treat them as a scale, never a promise.

Because many models ship in several hashrate variants, and each variant earns differently. A smaller and a larger batch of the same machine are genuinely different purchases.

Check the hashrate figure on each row or card before comparing prices anywhere else.

Not always. The highest earning machine makes the most revenue, since earnings scale with hashrate. Profit is a different question, because power draw scales too.

An efficient mid-size machine can out-profit the highest earner once electricity is paid, particularly at domestic rates. See the highest earning ASIC miners ranked on raw output alone.

They are accurate to the moment for the assumptions shown: current prices, current difficulty and the energy rate you entered. They are not forecasts.

Real results also depend on pool fees, uptime, cooling and firmware. Expect the estimate to be a fair guide, then run the machine well to keep it honest.

3

Buying for Profit

Turning a profit ranking into a sensible purchase, from used hardware to hosting.

Only if its whole profile fits: purchase price, power draw, noise, cooling and the space you have. The top earner is often a large hydro machine that suits a facility rather than a home.

Filter the table to your constraints first. The most profitable machine you can actually run well beats the most profitable machine on paper.

They can be on price, since a cheaper machine needs less earnings to pay itself back. They usually lag on efficiency, which matters more as your power price rises.

At low electricity rates a good used machine is a strong profit play. At domestic rates, newer efficient hardware usually wins over the year.

It can. Hosted electricity from around 4p per kWh is far below UK domestic rates, which transforms the profit column for most machines.

Select a hosting site in the table to see the effect on your shortlist, then read about our hosting options or ask us for a quote.

Shortlist two or three machines that stay near the top at your energy rate, then check their live stock status and prices, which include delivery, import duties and taxes.

If you want a second opinion first, talk to the team. We mine with this hardware ourselves and will compare your shortlist honestly.
