03 / Power and plant
A practical route from supply to miner.
Power distribution, controls and cooling equipment determine how the equipment works as an installation.
PDU and distribution
The PDU layout uses a dedicated three phase supply for the hydro fleet. Confirm the precise Whatsminer M63 variant, factory power lead and socket pinout before allocating circuits. The manufacturer lists redundant pumps, BMS control and temperature, leak, smoke and humidity sensing; the final schedule should identify alarm actions and remote access.
Connection schedule
Confirm the incoming supply, earthing arrangement, protective devices and miner connectors. A circuit rating or an empty socket does not establish the number of miners that can run continuously.
Service access
Allow access to electrical panels and cooling components, with a clear isolation procedure. Include the monitoring network and alarm response in the operating plan.
04 / Useful heat
Give the heat a purpose.
These are applications to assess with a thermal designer, not promised outputs or evidence that recovery equipment is included.
Power Mining offers heat exchangers and heat meters on request. A separately designed heating loop could supply a greenhouse, a swimming pool or a district heating return circuit. Match the miner outlet temperature to the heat customer and retain independent heat rejection for summer or demand interruptions. A warmer water target must stay within the selected miner warranty conditions.

Water preheating
Assess whether a separate water circuit can accept useful heat before its normal heating stage.
Greenhouse heating
Match the heating circuit to the crop schedule, seasonal demand and available water temperature.
Seasonal control
Retain independent cooling when the receiving building or process cannot accept heat. Account for pumps, fans and any temperature boost in the project economics.

A clear specification prevents the site and the equipment from being designed in isolation.
Ask The Mining Shop to check the rack drawing, cooling duty, service clearance and electrical schedule against your intended fleet. Manufacturer photography shows a representative hydro installation; it does not establish the exact chassis or supplied options of every configuration.
Site and access
Agree the foundation, delivery route, lifting plan and service clearances for the supplied equipment.
Miner selection
Confirm physical fit, connection type and continuous electrical load before committing to a fleet quantity.

How the fleet totals work
Quantity is calculated separately for each of 10 racks, using up to 24 positions and a 240 kW reference miner budget per rack. The calculation allows 5% above catalogue miner wattage, then multiplies the whole number of miners per rack by the rack count. Auxiliary plant is additional. The 2.5 MW listing uses the lower 2.4 MW total implied by its rack figures.
Miner cost and gross monthly earnings use current catalogue unit values multiplied by quantity. Earnings use the same base field as the homepage cards, before electricity, operating costs and downtime. No heat income or bulk discount is assumed. The infrastructure is quoted separately. These totals are illustrations, not guarantees of income or availability.

Power Mining began manufacturing Bitcoin mining containers in 2017. Its equipment range has expanded to include remotely managed power distribution units and assembled open-source home miners such as Bitaxe and NerdQAxe. The company works across both commercial mining infrastructure and compact equipment for individual users. Its container systems, electrical distribution products and home miners serve different installation needs, with specifications defined for each product and configuration.
