Digital Shovel Gen 3 MiniPOD

Air mining container

Subject to quotation

The Gen 3 MiniPOD is an outdoor air cooling pod with a 270 kW electrical rating. Its reference layouts hold 77 S19 or S21 miners, or 70 S21 Pro machines.

02 / A place in your project

Make room for your mining fleet.

A pod gives your miners a defined home. Compare the footprint, outlet load and airflow with the space and power you have available.

Choosing the format

Eleven shelves hold the miner fleet, while two smart distribution units provide 96 C19 outlets. Six centrifugal fans move air through replaceable filters.

The quoted fan flow is a nominal total, not a measured airflow through every installed miner. Filter condition and the chosen layout affect the working airflow.

Defining the scope

Build the quotation around the miner model, site location, available power and cooling conditions. Agree the equipment schedule, delivery arrangements and commissioning responsibilities before placing an order.

Cooling explained

Show how the cooling works

See how this cooling method moves heat away from the mining hardware.

Air through the machines

Fans move air through the miners, collecting heat before discharging it outside. A clear path between the filtered inlet and exhaust helps prevent hot air returning to the machines.

Why choose air

The hardware remains directly accessible, and standard air cooled miners can be serviced without draining a liquid circuit. Filters can be selected for the site environment.

What the site needs

Size ventilation for the fleet and local temperature. Consider dust, filter resistance and sound at the site boundary. The sum of fan catalogue ratings is not a measurement of installed airflow.

Schematic illustration. Hydro and immersion diagrams show a separated circuit example; some systems connect directly to a compatible cooler. Heat reuse needs a suitable local demand and a separate engineered connection.

Power distribution and controls

Power distribution and cooling equipment must be matched to the selected hardware. The published reference configuration is summarised below.

  • Distribution: 2 smart units, 96 C19 outlets, 20 A circuits
  • Supply: Manufacturer lists 380 to 480 V, five wire

04 / Useful heat

Give the heat a purpose.

These are applications to assess with a thermal designer, not promised outputs or evidence that recovery equipment is included.

Mining heat can be useful where there is a nearby demand at a suitable temperature. Warm exhaust air may suit an engineered ventilation or drying application.

Keep independent heat rejection available when the receiving site cannot use the heat. Any recovery plant, temperature boost and additional pumps belong in the project specification and energy budget.

Mining heat→Controlled air handling→Suitable local heat demand

Workshop warmth

Assess a controlled supply of warm air to an adjacent workspace, with filtration and an outdoor discharge route.

Drying space

Compare the required air temperature and cleanliness with the exhaust stream before designing a drying application.

Seasonal control

Retain independent cooling when the receiving building or process cannot accept heat. Account for pumps, fans and any temperature boost in the project economics.

05 / Before delivery

Plan the pod installation.

A clear specification prevents the site and the equipment from being designed in isolation.

Plan the foundation, lifting route, service access, incoming power and external cooling together. Component weights and dimensions refer to the named parts and fill conditions, rather than automatically describing a complete operating installation.

Site and access

Agree the foundation, delivery route, lifting plan and service clearances for the supplied equipment.

Miner selection

Confirm physical fit, connection type and continuous electrical load before committing to a fleet quantity.

Commissioning

Define who installs, tests and commissions each part of the system, including external plant and monitoring.

Project questions

Clear from the start.

Are miners included?

Miners are separate unless expressly included in the written equipment schedule.

Is this available immediately?

Availability and lead time require confirmation. This page does not represent confirmed stock allocation.

What does the price cover?

The written quotation confirms the supplied equipment, miner quantity where included, freight, tax treatment and commissioning responsibilities. Availability and dispatch timing are confirmed for the order.

06 / Fleet planning

Also bought with.

Each fleet example is an alternative, not an additional group to combine. The final miner order needs an approved configuration.

Digital Shovel lists the S21 Pro family with 70 reference positions. These examples use that family and the lower quantity allowed by power screening. Confirm miner revision, supply voltage, continuous outlet current and cable assemblies. These are planning combinations, not a record of previous purchases.

How the fleet totals work

Quantity is the lower of 70 positions and the whole number of miners within a 230 kW example miner budget, allowing 5% above catalogue miner wattage. The 230 kW allowance is below the published 270 kW pod figure to leave room for auxiliary and site constraints. It is a planning allowance, not an approved electrical design.

Miner cost and gross monthly earnings use current catalogue unit values multiplied by quantity. Earnings use the same base field as the homepage cards, before electricity, operating costs and downtime. No heat income or bulk discount is assumed. The infrastructure is quoted separately. These totals are illustrations, not guarantees of income or availability.
