The Bitmain ANTSPACE HW5 hydro mining container combines accommodation for up to 210 compatible miners with a hydro circulation system and a dry wet cooling module. The integrated 40ft arrangement offers a practical starting point for operators planning a commercial Bitcoin mining site.
The cooling module is rated for 1,200kW of heat dissipation. BITMAIN’s current catalogue lists the S19 Hyd., S21 Hyd. and S23 Hyd. families. Compatibility must be checked against the revision being supplied and each miner’s requirements, with the final fleet size kept within the electrical and cooling limits.
The published cooling water consumption is 0.7 to 1.3 cubic metres per hour for the specified configuration. A suitable water supply and drainage therefore belong in the site plan alongside electrical capacity, foundations and access for delivery. Confirm these requirements before committing to a location.

03 / Power and cooling
Distribution cabinets, PDU functions and the supporting equipment for ANTSPACE HW5.
Two 1200A main switches supply the HW5 distribution system. The current catalogue gives a rated current of up to 986A on each feed and up to 10A per miner. Socket type and miner leads must be matched to the exact ANTMINER PSU.
The HW5 combines the miner enclosure and dry wet cooling equipment in a 40ft package. Its circulation system includes pumps, manifolds, filters and controls. The published water use is make up water for cooling; it is not the closed circuit flow through the miners.
Allow for water quality management, drainage, access to filters and fan servicing. The support sheet specifies at least 2m of air intake clearance and a prepared supporting surface. Transformers and external electrical infrastructure need a separate project specification.
The 2024 support sheet lists 1062kW operating power and PUE 1.032. The current shop sheet lists 1200kW and PUE 1.017 at 25°C. The example fleet calculations use the lower 1062kW ceiling until the supplied revision is confirmed. Request the single line diagram, breaker schedule, PDU outlet model, cable list, cooling schematic and commissioning requirements for the unit supplied.
04 / Heat reuse
Potential applications for an engineered recovery system. Heating equipment is not included in the container price unless expressly quoted.
The HW5 carries miner heat in a liquid circuit, so reuse may be feasible through a separately designed heat exchanger and secondary loop. The current HW5 specification does not confirm an included heat recovery kit. Cooling water outlet figures must not be presented as a guaranteed heating delivery temperature.
Nearby buildings or a heat network may accept recovered heat directly at suitable temperatures, or through a heat pump. MARA reports operating district heating projects in Finland; these demonstrate the application, not certification of this ANTSPACE model.
Read the district heating example ↗A greenhouse with a suitable heating circuit is a potential heat user. GDA has researched the use of mining heat for greenhouse farming in Sweden. A project needs a seasonal heat demand calculation rather than a fixed area per container claim.
Read the greenhouse project ↗As a project concept, recovered heat could preheat pool or process water through an isolated secondary circuit. The usable temperature, exchanger materials, water treatment and backup heating must be designed for that application.
Confirm miner supply and return temperature limits, flow, pressure loss, fluid compatibility, heat exchanger duty, the receiving system temperature and year round demand. Add bypass controls and retain sufficient cooling for summer or loss of heat demand. A heat pump may be needed for a higher delivery temperature. The cooling rating is not guaranteed recoverable heat, and no heat sales or heating savings are included in the earnings below.
BITMAIN offers waste heat heating design services. Obtain approval for the exact container revision before modifying its circuit.
05 / Plan your installation
Share your miner list and site details with our team before confirming the container configuration.
Confirm voltage, distribution and total site demand. Include the miners, cooling equipment and other electrical loads.
Check ambient conditions, the cooling circuit and any water or immersion fluid requirements for your chosen equipment.
Plan vehicle access, unloading, foundations and service clearances. Agree the delivery scope before arranging installation.
The container still needs a suitable supply, foundation, access and the required water services. An integrated package can reduce separate equipment, but the external connections and commissioning scope must be agreed.
The final quantity depends on the exact miner power and current, not only the available positions. Check the supplied PDU schedule and cooling duty before buying a full fleet.

Confirm the supplied equipment list in your quotation. Do not assume ASIC miners, accessories or installation are included in the container price.
Compatibility depends on the exact miner model, cooling method, electrical connections and configuration. Send us your proposed miner list for checking.

06 / Compatible fleet examples
Compare suitable ANTMINER families using current catalogue base values. Each card represents an alternative fleet of one model, not three fleets to combine.
These examples use the S19 Pro Hydro j0 10 family, whose manufacturer sheet specifies 10A per phase. Newer S21 Hydro variants with a 12A maximum input are excluded from these 10A position examples. Confirm the exact PSU, connectors, rack fit and coolant flow before placing a fleet order. Planning quantity = the lower of the supported slot count and the whole number of miners within the chosen power budget, allowing 5% above each miner's catalogue wattage. This page uses 1062kW for ANTSPACE HW5. HD5 reserves 100kW from its 1512kW normal figure; HW5 uses the older 1062kW limit until its revision is confirmed; HW7 reserves 100kW below its 2000kW cooling rating; MD5 reserves 100kW within its 1000kW container figure. These are conservative screening assumptions, not commissioned or manufacturer approved fleet sizes.
Fleet price = current unit price × quantity. Fleet gross monthly earnings = the same per miner base earnings field used by the homepage card × quantity. Hashrate and miner power also scale with quantity; efficiency and earnings per kWh remain per unit ratios. A combined hardware total is shown only where a container price is available; otherwise the container is quoted separately. No bulk discount, electrical infrastructure, delivery adjustment, cooling electricity, downtime or heat income is assumed.
Gross earnings are estimates before electricity and operating costs. Final quantities also depend on ambient temperature, coolant flow, distribution across cabinets, PSU connectors and the approved rack layout.
